Backstage With the Bible
Backstage With the Bible is our flagship curriculum, created to give children a high view of Scripture while clearly presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ. Children will love using their VIP passes and Bibles to gain access to the various backstage areas of your church. They will learn the books of the Bible, the Ten Commandments, and what it means to be saved by grace through faith…and that’s just in the first few minutes of singing each day!

Day 1: Superstar
You are fearfully and wonderfully made… Psalm 139:14
Bible Story: What set the Israelites apart? Exodus 1
Overview: On this day, children will learn that God created us in His image, to praise Him and bring Him glory. They will read from Exodus and learn about the differences between the Egyptians and the Israelites. Following God may not be popular or easy, but God always remembers His people and He is worthy of our very best.
Day 2: The Ten Commandments
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
Bible Story: The mirror of God’s law shows us our sin. Exodus 20
Overview: The Ten Commandments are given to us by God to help us see our sin. God is the standard of perfection and we can never good enough on our own. By reviewing His commands in Exodus 20, children will see that we all sin by breaking God’s laws. Our sin is the barrier between God and us. However, God provided a way for us to be with Him through His Son, Jesus.
day 3: the cross
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son… John 3:16
Bible Story: Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. Matthew 1 & 27
Overview: Yesterday we heard the bad news. Now it’s time for the GOOD news! Children will read about Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection in the gospel of Matthew and how He made it possible for our sins to be forgiven forever!
day 4: saved by grace through faith
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… Ephesians 2:8
Bible Story: What was the rich young man missing? Mark 10
Overview: Children will read about the rich young man in Mark 10. Although the man thought he was a good person, Jesus pointed out that he loved his personal possessions more than God. Children will be reminded that there is nothing we can do on our own, through riches or deeds, to earn our place in Heaven. It is only by God’s grace that He forgives those who believe.
day 5: go fish
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19
Bible Story: Jesus instructs His followers to make disciples of all nations. Matthew 28
Overview: In Matthew 28 Jesus gave His disciples the Great Commission. After learning about God’s great love and what Jesus did for us, children will be encouraged to share the good news. It’s time to Go Fish!
